We are a collective of faith communities bringing Gospel renewal to people and places within our local neighbourhoods.
In March 2021 we had a season of 12 Days of Gospel Stories. We’re now reproducing these stories here for all to see and be inspired by!
Part of Lifepoint’s vision statement is that we would be an authentic family sharing God’s love. One of our members befriended a work colleague who had previously experienced a legalistic approach to Christianity. This young woman had had a difficult childhood and struggled with insecurities, anxiety and fear. About 18 months ago as she was driving to work someone attempting to take their own life crossed the centreline of the road and hit her car head on, breaking her back. After spending several months in bed contemplating life’s real purpose, our church member asked her if she would like to come along to church as we were down to earth and accepted people as they were. She came to church and soon started attending a bible discovery group we had for new believers. Here she discovered bible stories of Jesus doing life with real people—broken, less than perfect people. She discovered that Jesus accepted them and made them whole. This young woman struggled with anxiety and fear to the point it would incapacitate her at times. In our bible studies she discovered that Jesus is powerful and available to meet all our needs, so she prayed and is now experiencing new freedom and inner peace and can even enter into conflict resolution situations. Jesus has set her free. As a result of all this she has been baptised and continues to grow in faith. This all happened because we strive to be authentic in our faith and seek to invite others to discover the power of Jesus for themselves.
Heavenly father help us to be bold and share our faith so that our community might discover your undeserved favour, that you accept us just as we are and that you are always ready to meet all of our needs.
